Responsible play
What Galop is, and what it is not
Galop looks like a betting product because racing looks like that. It is not one. This page is the plain version, so nobody has to guess.
18+
The short version
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- Galop is free to play. Coins are in-app only.
- Coins have no cash value. They cannot be withdrawn, redeemed for money or prizes, or transferred out.
- Galop does not accept real-money wagers and is not a bookmaker, exchange or advance-deposit wagering provider.
- Galop holds no gaming licence or regulatory authorisation in any jurisdiction, and does not claim one.
- Nothing in the product is a promise of winnings, an edge, or a profitable outcome.
Why we design it to be easy to stop
Games in this shape can get their hooks in. We would rather have players who come back because it is good than players who cannot leave. So the mechanics deliberately leave out the things that make stopping hard.
- No deposit to chase. There is no money in, so there is nothing to win back.
- Graceful exits. You can cash out of a live position, and a shield lets you keep a streak rather than lose everything for stepping away.
- No punishment for missing a day. Daily rewards are there when you come back; they are not a countdown designed to guilt you.
- No near-miss theatre and no fake scarcity. A loss is shown as a loss.
How to keep it entertainment
- Decide before you open the app how long you want to play, and stop at that point rather than at a result.
- Notice if you are playing to fix a bad session rather than because you want to. That is the signal to stop.
- Do not play when you are upset, tired or drinking.
- If a prediction game is standing in for real-money gambling you are trying to step away from, treat it with the same care.
If it stops being fun
If you are worried about your gambling — or someone else’s — free, confidential help exists.
- United States: National Council on Problem Gambling helpline, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER, or visit ncpgambling.org.
- United Kingdom: GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline.
- Elsewhere: search for the national problem-gambling service in your country; most operate a free helpline.
These organisations are independent of Galop. We list them because they are useful, not because they endorse us.
Closing your account
You can ask us to close your Galop account and delete the record attached to it. Because there is no balance with cash value, nothing has to be settled first — the account simply stops existing.
